Solicitor's Disciplinary Tribunal decide on alleged misconduct of foreign lawyers and those employed by
solicitors as well as deciding on applications by former solicitors. Understanding that a first visit to the
courts can be stressful, they wanted to provide visitors with digital guidance on what to expect.
The project was to create an interactive tour of the building and courts and highlight the roles of various
people that may be involved in the process.
Through workshopping and activities with the client and visiting the courts to understand their and their users’ needs and goals.
Working with the photographer to determine angles, lighting and working with the client to ensure the scenes were an accurate depiction of a visit. Whilst ensuring that they would be appropriate for the use in an interactive tour.
Finalising the UI with the final edited photos in place and creating a new set of digital floorplans.
Involved beyond the point designs were signed off. Ensuring the development matched up to the designs and user experience was as defined and always being a point of contact for the client.
The UI allows a user to take a linear path - going back and forth between rooms and areas. Each section contains hotspots on specific subject areas,the information areas to be flexible but restricted in height to ensure that visual subject matters were never covered.
An additional aspect to the tour was the inclusion of a clickable floorplan. This was important to be easily accessible so that users who weren't interested in experiencing the tour but instead wanted to see the layout and get a feel for the rooms could access the information.
